David Lynn Evans, 71, passed away November 11, 2009 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville.
He was born in racine WI and moved to Gainesville in 1960 from Lake Worth where he grew up and graduated high school He was a veteran of the US Army and he was a contract sales manager at Sears. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bird watching.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Evans; daughters Kelly Lynn (Ray) Barber of Gainesville and Karrie Lee (Joseph) Hernandez of North Palm Beach, FL and grandchildren, Teresa and Michael Hernandez.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 3801 NW 40th Terrace, #B, Gainesville, FL 32606.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 15 at Chapel In The Meadows at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central, 4100 NW 39th Avenue . The family will receive friends Saturday, November 14 from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave.
