Harold Lee Minnix, Sr., born April 7, 1939, passed away on November 20, 2009 at home from a brief illness. Born in Montcalm, WV to L.T. and Ivory Kinzer Minnix, he has resided in Waldo, FL since 1970. He was the owner of Harold’s Auto Body Shop and Sales since 1977. He was a member of Waldo Lodge #10 of FAM and serviced in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Garland Edward Minnix and Donald Wayne Minnix and two grandchildren, Harold (Trey) Lee Minnix, III and Katie Lynn Minnix.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Minnix of Waldo; a brother, Randy (Dawn) Minnix of St. Augustine; five children, Linda (Doug) Minshew of bell, Sheliah (Tommy) Parker of Hawthorne, Tamera (Gary) Parker of Hawthorne, Harold Jr. (Nancy) Minnix of Waldo and Michael Minnix of Hawthorne; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren in addition his best friend, Rev. Robert Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to LOGOS Baptist Assembly, 14315 NE 177th Place, Waldo, FL 32694 or E. T. York Hospice Care Center, 4200 NW 90th Blvd. Gainesville, 32606 or any charity of your choice.
Services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville. Burial will be in West Virginia on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009.

We are so sorry for you'r loss Our thoughts and prayers are with you,but I am sure Harold has left his family with many happy memories He raised 5 wonderful children,who all are great parents.We attended Linda's wedding at the church in Waldo.How time does fly.Harold will be missed by so many family and friends.
