Robert Douglas Smith, 50, of Archer, passed away suddenly on January 29, 2010. Mr. Smith was born in Orlando and moved to Archer in 1979. He was owner and operator of Circle D Maintenance.
He is preceded in death by his father Franklin R. Smith. He is survived by his companion Audra Mestas, step children Kyle Mestas and Leandra "Winnie" Young, mother Polly Smith, sister Kathy Marcoux, and brother in law Joey.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Archer, 13652 SW 168th St., Archer, FL with Rev. Ray Scott officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, Fl.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, Polly Smith, C/O Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, Fl. 32609.

Dear Polly, Kathy and family,
I will try to make visitation but with my 2 moms (ages 92 and 86) it is hard to get away. Know that you are in my heart and prayers. I hope Frank, Gary and Doug had a wonderful reunion in Heaven. God bless you all.
