Laura Opal Roe Paulson, 87, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 20,2010 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center.
Mrs. Paulson was bon in Caplinger Mills, MO. and moved to Gainesville in 1964. Mrs. Paulson was a registered nurse. She retired in 1985 from working in the new born nursery at Alachua General Hospital.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was married to the late Chester M. "Chet" Paulson, who was the owner of Gainesville Upholstery. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Susan Kay Paulson and two brothers, Erman Roe and Walden Roe and a sister, Eunice Bry.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol J. Hutto of gainesville and one grandson, Kyle Hutto.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 NW 23rd Ave. The family will receive friends at teh funeral home on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 5 to 7 pm.
Flowers are welcomed or for those who wish the family requests donations be made to the Hospice.
